Hey everyone, its good to be back. I have been away for sometime due to assignments, work and what not.....
So as told by the title of this post, i would like to intro my new toy in this blog.
Its called HTC Touch pro. Basically it has many many features which i might or might not use, so just check it out
firstly i must say, it does come in a neat box, HTC never fail to impress their customer with nice packaging for an item we pay so much for.
As you can see from this picture, the box is in sort of a half pyramid shape. Very creative indeed, but i find it a bit annoying when trying to put to on my shelve as it does not stack up with other boxes.
When open, the device is nicely tucked in its place with its accessories all well hidden underneath it.
The size of it isnt impressive as you can see it barely fits in my hand, But for the features that comes in it, i think its worth the size.
Here is the hidden full QWERT keyboard when slide out.
Comparing it with my previous HTC Touch, not too much difference in size when you look it this way.
But when its being compared with the thickness, its almost 2 times the thickness, so its gonna feel abit in the pocket.
OK so here is my comment about it after using it for about a week.
Firstly this is the 2nd HTC Phone that i bought, and the very worse thing that could happened, has actually happened, whereby for my first HTC, i had to exchange for a new one due to its microphone problem. As for this one, my first HTC touch pro had problems with the stylus sticking back into its HOLE and basically had to return it and swap for a new one. So that is a very bad experience, never get a HTC phone without warranty with it.
Aside from that, i find the software that Touch pro uses is still at its initial stages whereby there are lots of bugs, and still being unstable most of the time. I had to hard reset my device a couple of times and hopefully that doesnt happen again.
So those are the downside. The good side is, its definitely very nice to use, very handy features such as the new threaded SMS function that i find really convenient.
The keyboard is great! My previous HTC touch does come with a keyboard, and therefore inputing words basically requires me to pull out my stylus everytime. But with this new pda, its definitely a PLUS when there is a keyboard around.
What else did i miss? owh the battery life, much better than expected, as it was able to achieve what my 200mhz HTC touch could do, and bear in mind, this TOUCH PRO has a 500++MHZ processor in it. So definitely a PLUS again!
Thats basically it. Will try to play with it around more, and did i forget to mention there are many cool application out there that utilizes the accelerometer in it. A very handy application would be alarm clock, wherby i can actually switch the phone to snooze mode by just shaking the phone. And also when the phone is on a table and some1 is calling me, i can just flip it over to make it into silent mode. How Neat is that?
Ok enough for today.... will be back if i have a new toy... till then... BYE!
