Before i get to today's post i would like to again wish veli a happy birthday and the Wii which u all would thought is mine, is actually a present shared among almost 18 of us for veli.
Back to today's topic.
I have been browsing youtube yesterday and saw an interesting music video that i would like to share. Its some oldies from SAM HUI, which my dad loves. Being a fan of SAM HUI, my dad has some collections of his song which he plays in his car. And i grow up listening to them as well. So here is my fav song from SAM.
Why is the title meaningful? well because i find this song meaningful in a way that it explain life.
for those who cant read chinese, dont worry i have a translated copy of the lyrics:
It's not easy to distinguish between truth and falsehood. Many humans are deceitful at heart.
How many of them would share prosperity with you? To equally share even the waterdrops from the rim of a roof?
(I was) an ignorant frog inside a well, looking in vain for prestige and fame.
Self-conceited and short-sighted, I never expected my elegant house would one day become a dilapidated wreck.
We'll eventually gain whatever as fate would have it. We'd not strive too hard for something not destined for us.
We'll meet thunders and storms, but we don't have to be scared.
Happiest are those who have a fair mind and a clear conscience, and who perform good deeds whenever possible.
Human beings are just like the sand in the sea where nothing is to be worried.
You can see the evening glow all over the sky. It'll soon disappear like mist; so do fame and fortune.
End.
This two sentences were especially meaningful
Happiest are those who have a fair mind and a clear conscience, and who perform good deeds whenever possible.
AND
You can see the evening glow all over the sky. It'll soon disappear like mist; so do fame and fortune.
so guys, dont always pray and hope for fame and fortune because it will go away some day and if that is all u have, u will have nothing left when its gone.
Cheers!
